CINCINNATI (AP) -- A Democratic congressional candidate from the Dayton area suspended her campaign Monday after she and her husband were charged with domestic violence.

Stephanie Studebaker and her husband, Sam, were booked Sunday morning into the Montgomery County jail after police answered calls about a fight in their home, police said.

Each was released on a $25,000 bond.

But here's the funny part! From her web site:

This'll piss you off a wee bit

Remember this link when the time comes to hear all the bitching by the politicians in BOTH parties about cuts in the budget and/or when you hear the promises of ANY politician running for re-election.

Earmarks contained in the Labor-Health and Human Services appropriation bill currently being considered by Congress.

Things like:

$3,000,000 - New York - NY - City College of New York for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service to prepare individuals for careers in public service, which may include establishing an endowment, library and archives for such center.
(RANGEL CENTER FOR PUBLIC SERVICE?????)
(THREE MILLION DOLLARS OF OUR TAX MONEY??????!!!!!)

$800,000 - unknown - unknown - Best Buddies International, for mentoring programs for persons with intellectual disabilities
( ALMOST A MILLION TO BEST BUDDIES SPONSORED BY NOBODY'S BUDDY?!!!)

Read the rest if you dare
Have fun sorting by State or by Dollar amount. Fun for the whole family, but a few days too late.

Class act Hero

We sure don't see enough of this kind of class in the world today.

This photo supplied by Jason Thomas shows him in September 2001, at the World Trade Center site where he helped in the rescue effort following the terrorist attacks in New York. Thomas, who lives in Columbus, Ohio, helped rescue Port Authority police officers John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno, but never thought to contact them or anyone else about his role. Even the producers of the new Oliver Stone film, 'World Trade Center,' which chronicles the rescue effort, couldn't find him. Encouraged by an aunt, Thomas has unmasked his identity amid publicity for the film. (AP Photo/Jason Thomas)

3 Egyptian students taken into custody
By GREGG AAMOT, Associated Press Writer

MINNEAPOLIS - Three Egyptian students who were being sought for failing to turn up for an exchange program at Montana State University were taken into custody Wednesday, more than a week after they arrived in the United States.
One student was arrested in Minnesota, and two others surrendered to authorities in New Jersey. They were among 11 students being sought by law enforcement after they failed to attend a monthlong program on the English language and U.S. history and culture in Bozeman, Mont., the FBI said.

It was at this point that we knew Mapquest had once again proved itself outdated.

Mike "Somebody" apparently went on vacation.
Seems his co-workers have too much time on their hands.

Chose wisely

A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem.
While they were there, the wife passed away.
The undertaker told the husband, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150."
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your wife home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?"
The man replied, "Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can't take that chance."
